But even if you’re not in the mood for shopping, the ice rink, Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo or Sega Republic Amusement Park will keep you occupied – to say nothing of the huge selection of eateries.

The elegant Mall of the Emirates houses a host of high-end stores selling fashion, leather accessories and household goods, as well as an assortment of restaurants running the gamut from fast food to fine dining. And not many other malls feature an indoor winter resort with a ski slope, toboggan runs and even a resident colony of penguins.
IBN BATTUTA MALL
As much a journey as it is a shopping experience, Ibn Battuta Mall’s stores are spread across six themed courts, each taking inspiration from a region visited by 14th-century explorer Ibn Battuta. Blue-and-white tiles decorate the enormous dome of Persia Court and the walls of Egypt Court are inscribed with hieroglyphs, while the centrepiece of India Court is the life-size reproduction of a complex medieval Elephant Clock powered by water.
DUBAI OUTLET MALL
If you’re shopping on a budget, there’s no better option than Dubai Outlet Mall, where around 240 stores offer wares from over a thousand premium international designer brands, all at huge discounts. Our scheduled free shuttle will get you there – and conveniently get you back to the hotel when you’re laden with shopping bags.
SPICE SOUK
The traditional Deira Spice Souk in the heart of Old Dubai is a remarkable experience for all the senses. In a riot of colours and aromas, herbs and spices are piled high in baskets, as the vendors loudly proclaim their wares. And don’t forget to haggle!
GOLD SOUK
Historic Dubai Gold Souk is a glittering labyrinth with hundreds of stallholders selling jewellery crafted from precious metals and encrusted with diamonds, pearls or other precious stones. Tight controls by the Government of Dubai ensure that your purchases are genuine.
